Most of the apprenticeship is on-the-job learning where you will carry out manual handling, work in teams to erect and dismantle scaffolding, and follow health & safety procedures.

The role is physical and involves working at height and outdoors.

This apprenticeship includes college training with CITB: block release (2 weeks every 3-4 months) at the National Construction College (Bircham Newton or Erith). Accommodation and food are provided during college blocks and travel is contributed to.

The training covers Scaffolder Level 2 content (split into 6 blocks, ~18 months total) and develops practical and safety skills required to become a qualified scaffolder.

The role is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm (40 hours/week) with possible weekend overtime. Successful completion leads to qualification as a Scaffolder and further career paths in commercial, design and related construction fields.
