Softwire's Apprentice Software Developer programme is a two-year apprenticeship that offers a thorough introduction to commercial software development. The apprenticeship begins with three months of full-time training and then transitions into working on commercial customer project teams, providing experience across a range of projects and technologies.

Apprentices receive ongoing training and support and graduate with a Level-4 BCS-accredited Diploma in Software Engineering and an internationally recognised coding qualification.

The role is based in Softwire's London offices, with a starting salary of £24,000 plus annual profit share and a broad benefits package including 25 days holiday, access to an on-site gym and subsidised restaurant, and a dedicated staff activities budget. Apprenticeships start in October 2026 and are allocated to successful applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. The recruitment process is run remotely; candidates can pre-register interest to be notified when applications open.
