This apprenticeship places you at Reynolds of Rushock to learn every aspect of vehicle paint repair and refinishing. You will be trained in paint preparation, mixing and matching colours, applying primers, basecoats and clearcoats, and using modern drying and curing techniques (UV, infrared and catalytic).
Day-to-day duties include preparing substrates, repairing minor defects to body panels, and using specialised refinishing equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.
The programme combines on-the-job learning with formal training delivered by AUTO-ASSESS LIMITED. You will gain a Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician qualification through a mix of workplace mentoring, practical application, and off-site or e-learning sessions.
Typical working pattern is Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-4:30pm, totalling 40 hours per week. The apprenticeship supports progression into roles such as Vehicle Damage Assessor, Workshop Controller, or Bodyshop Manager.
Wage for the first year is £15,704 (may increase depending on age/entitlement). The apprenticeship starts 5 January 2026 and runs for 2 years 6 months. To apply you must sign in with a GOV.
