Want a paid route into a hands-on career? Join Scania’s apprenticeships to train as an HGV technician or customer advisor, gain paid on-the-job experience, 18 weeks at Scania’s academy, and ongoing coaching to build skills, qualifications and real industry connections.

Scania offers paid apprenticeships across its UK business, recruiting HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Technicians and Customer Advisors. Apprentices combine practical, on-the-job experience at Scania branches with structured theoretical training delivered by training partner Remit.

Apprentices are supported by development coaches and workplace mentors throughout the programme.

The Heavy Vehicle Technician apprenticeship runs for 36 months and includes 18 weeks of attendance at Scania’s training academy (Monday-Friday) spread across the programme. Successful technicians gain IMI Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician and IRTEC accreditation.

The Customer Advisor apprenticeship runs for 24 months with quarterly residential training sessions in the first 18 months, leading to a Level 3 nationally recognised qualification in Customer Service.

Applicants must be 16 or over and have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C. All travel expenses and hotel accommodation for the residential training weeks are covered by the employer.

Candidates are asked to register interest via Scania so details can be shared with Remit, followed by a call with Remit and an interview (including a branch tour) with the hiring manager.
