Complete your Bronze DofE Skills section through a 13-week online maths programme. Spend at least an hour each week solving puzzles and strategic challenges, compare your methods with worked solutions, and record your progress in a Digital Logic Journal.

The Archimedes Awards DofE Bronze Mathematics Skills Pathway is a 13-week online programme designed to help students complete the Skills section of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award through mathematics. It is built around sustained weekly engagement and focuses on problem-solving, logical reasoning, independence and mathematical confidence, with particular relevance for students interested in STEM pathways.

Each week, students commit at least one hour to a varied set of mathematical investigations, puzzles, strategic problems and creative challenges. They work on non-routine tasks involving logic, number, algebra, geometry, spatial thinking, probability and strategy, then compare their methods with fully worked solutions.

Students also design original mathematical questions, explain their reasoning and record their progress in a Digital Logic Journal.

At the end of the programme, The Archimedes Awards reviews each student’s participation and progress, completes a DofE Assessor’s Report and awards a certificate of mathematical achievement. The programme offers monthly intakes and is aimed at Year 9-11 students who are completing DofE Bronze, helping them turn mathematical effort into a recognised and academically enriching achievement.
