Prize: Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Army Cadets offers young people the chance to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and work towards Bronze, Silver or Gold. It is a structured personal development programme that encourages cadets to set goals, challenge themselves and build confidence through a range of activities.

Participants complete sections covering volunteering, physical activity, skills and expedition, with Gold also including a residential section away from home. Through the programme, cadets can develop teamwork, independence, resilience and leadership while gaining experience that can support their future ambitions.

Registration is arranged through detachment or contingent leaders, who can explain how to get started. If you cannot find out how to register at your unit, Army Cadets advises emailing its training contact for support.
