Fancy painting moonlit landscapes in oil this autumn? Join Art Life Studio's 6-week Young Oil Masterclass with Richard Thomas to build brushwork, colour-mixing and composition skills, create striking portfolio pieces and connect with peers—Mondays 5:30–7:00pm, Sept 7–Oct 12 2026.

This 6-week Young Oil Masterclass at Art Life Studio immerses students in oil painting techniques focused on moonlit landscape scenes. Taught by Richard Thomas (The Lightbound Artist, BA Hons), the course uses the studio as a base for structured, step-by-step tuition in texture, colour mixing, composition and brushwork inspired by artists such as J.

M. W. Turner, John Atkinson Grimshaw and Rene Magritte.

Classes run on Mondays 5:30-7:00pm from 7 September to 12 October 2026 (6 weeks). Sessions combine fun, structured exercises with drawing and technical mark-making to help students develop confidence in tone, perspective, depth and personal style, culminating in a final nightlight moonscape landscape painting.

The course is aimed at young creatives aged 10-15 (beginners welcome) and is limited to 12 students. One make-up class is offered per 6-week block (held on the 3rd Saturday).
