Immerse Education's Artificial Intelligence Online Research Programme is a pre-university, remote course for high school students aged 13-18. Delivered year-round, the programme combines one-to-one tutorials (or optional group lessons) with guided independent research.
Participants work under the mentorship of academic tutors from leading universities to explore AI concepts, real-world applications, and to complete an undergraduate-style research project. Courses vary by intensity and accreditation: the Classic ORP offers approximately 10 hours of teaching across a two-week period; Publication and accredited options provide 15 hours plus additional coaching, publication support, and accreditation through the National Open College Network.
Outcomes include a certificate of achievement, potential UCAS-credit-bearing qualifications for accredited options, personalised feedback and recommendation letters for top performers, and the opportunity to present at the Immerse Online Symposium. The programme is delivered fully online and is available internationally.
Certificate of achievement; some accredited options award a National Open College Network qualification (stated as worth 8 UCAS points) and top-performing students may receive a Letter of Recommendation from their tutor.
