Artist Development Summer School Liverpool

This intensive five-day Artist Development Summer School at ICMP Liverpool offers a practical, immersive programme for aspiring artists. Across the week students take part in specialist workshops on songwriting, song development, sonic identity, collaboration and co-writing, music production and the recording process, and music business and marketing.

Sessions are delivered by industry-active tutors and include masterclasses from guest A&R representatives and professional artists. Participants collaborate with peers to plan and develop an artist project and build a professional portfolio, including an electronic press kit (EPK) and a professional photoshoot.

Daily music business classes and specialist masterclasses give practical insight into industry working practices, while sessions on performance, vocal technique and entrepreneurial skills support wider artist development. The course runs weekdays from 10:00 to 17:00 and culminates in a clearer artistic direction and a one-to-three-year career plan.

It is designed for beginners and more experienced songwriters who want focused, hands-on time to develop their artistry and industry knowledge.
