Want to design sustainable fashion that stands out? Join AUB’s five‑day hands‑on summer course to explore design, colour, fabric selection and trend forecasting, build garments without machines and showcase your work to boost your portfolio and uni prospects.
This hands-on five-day summer course at Arts University Bournemouth gives young people the chance to explore fashion design and styling in the university's BA (Hons) Fashion studios. Delivered as practical, tutor-led classes, participants will work on design concepts, colour theory, fabric selection and trend forecasting, and will experiment with garment construction and embellishment using alternative techniques that do not require sewing machines.
Each day runs 09:00 16:00 with a final showcase and exhibition for family and friends (16:00 17:00) on the concluding Friday. Students will collaborate on projects, receive feedback from tutors and peers, and leave with a portfolio of designs.
A certificate confirming achievement can be requested if the student has 100% attendance. The course is aimed at aspiring designers aged 12 15 and requires no prior experience. Booking is completed via AUB's secure online store; the course fee covers all materials and resources.
