artsdepot Youth Theatre - Autumn Term

artsdepot Youth Theatre is a welcoming weekly drama group for young people aged 13-17, led by theatre maker and actor Laura Atherton. The sessions are designed to help participants grow in confidence, strengthen performance skills and experience the excitement of creating theatre as part of an ensemble.

Each week, young people explore new scripts and contemporary writing, develop devising and ensemble techniques, build stage confidence and collaborate creatively in a supportive company environment. The sessions are playful and inclusive, making them suitable for beginners as well as those already studying GCSE Drama.

The group also offers wider creative and personal development, including teamwork, communication and leadership skills. Members work towards National Theatre Connections, with the possibility of being selected for the Summer Festival at the National Theatre, and they can also benefit from a supervised theatre trip during the term as part of the company experience.
