This Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship with Universal Accountancy Ltd offers a mix of on-the-job experience and formal training to develop practical accounting and bookkeeping skills. You'll spend most of your time working in a small office environment in Watford, completing tasks such as bookkeeping data entry, maintaining ledgers, assisting with end-of-month reporting, preparing payroll-related items, answering client correspondence, arranging meetings and liaising with clients.
You will be employed Monday-Friday (09:00-17:00), 35 hours per week, and will study with the training provider First Rung Limited to achieve Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT) and Level 2 Bookkeeping qualifications. The apprenticeship starts on Monday 24 November 2025 and runs for approximately 1 year 6 months.
The role includes both workplace learning and time away from the job for specialist training.
The apprenticeship is paid: £13,741 for the first year (may increase depending on age) and follows the National Minimum Wage rules for apprentices. There is one position available. Applications are submitted through the GOV.
