AstraZeneca Engineering Apprenticeship Programme - Automation & Controls Engineer Technician

AstraZeneca's Engineering Apprenticeship Programme trains Automation and Controls Engineer Technicians through a mix of on-the-job experience and formal study. Apprentices join the Automation Support Engineers team, helping to maintain and improve manufacturing operations and working across shifts in a fast-paced, safety- and cost-conscious environment.

The programme includes hands-on project work, mentoring (line manager, mentor and buddy), and study toward a Level 4 HNC in Automation and Controls Engineering Technician, with support to progress to further academic study (HND or degree) where appropriate. Roles are based at AstraZeneca’s Macclesfield campus and form part of the company’s Early Talent offering.
