Study macroeconomics and microeconomics in small, discussion-led seminars at a University of Cambridge college, exploring markets, competition and business success. Shape learning around your group’s interests, get tutorial-style feedback, and finish with a certificate and a personalised tutor recommendation.
Atlas Summer Courses’ Economics and Finance summer school is designed for ambitious 16-17-year-olds who want to explore how markets, financial systems and economic models shape the world. Hosted at colleges of the University of Cambridge, the programme brings together small groups of students for a challenging, discussion-led academic experience in a university setting.
Students study core ideas from both macroeconomics and microeconomics, looking at topics such as economic performance, markets, competition and the ways businesses succeed or fail. Teaching is flexible rather than fixed, with tutors shaping the course around the group’s interests and abilities, while also building critical thinking through a dedicated masterclass and reflection session.
Learning takes place through small seminars, independent work and tutorial-style feedback, helping students strengthen their analytical skills and academic confidence. The course also includes college-style living, cultural excursions and a diverse international community.
At the end of the programme, students receive a certificate of completion and a personalised letter of recommendation from their tutor.
