Explore how social media shapes behaviour and why campaigns go viral through small-group tutorials, seminars and workshops in Oxford. You’ll hear from expert speakers, visit Oxford colleges and can attend a university fair; completing the course earns you a certificate and personalised letter of recommendation.
Atlas Summer Courses’ Marketing and Media summer school is designed for ambitious 16-17-year-olds who want to explore digital marketing, branding and media in a small-group academic setting. Students examine how social media channels shape behaviour, how viral campaigns work, and how products and services are marketed effectively.
The course also looks at future trends, apps and the wider creative world of media, helping learners build a practical digital skill set for further study and future careers.
Teaching is delivered in tutorial-style classes, seminars and workshops, with tutors tailoring content to the interests of each group rather than following a fixed curriculum. Students complete independent work, take part in tutorial Q&A sessions, hear from expert speakers and visit Oxford colleges.
They also have the chance to attend a university fair, giving them a broader view of possible next steps.
On completion, students receive a certificate and a personalised letter of recommendation. The programme is based in Oxford and combines academic challenge with a lively social and cultural experience in a historic university setting.
