Atlassian Williams Racing offers structured apprenticeships aimed at school leavers who prefer a practical route into motorsport. Apprentices are based at the Williams campus in Grove, Oxfordshire and blend on-the-job training with classroom learning delivered by local training providers.

Typical departments include Operations and Technical areas such as composites, machining, model shop, assembly and test, pattern shop, electronics and inspection.

Over three and a half years you will gain practical skills, experience working in teams, and nationally recognised qualifications at Level 3 or Level 4 (equivalent to A-levels or the first year of an undergraduate degree / HNC). Apprentices earn a wage while studying and work under the guidance of mentors and the Early Careers team.

The programme also includes a social and peer community with events organised for apprentices.

The selection process includes an online application with CV and tailored cover letter, an online assessment, group interview tasks, and an on-site meeting day in Grove for shortlisted candidates.   • Aimed at school leavers (post-GCSE).
  • Majority of apprenticeships are Level 3; applicants who already hold a Level 3 qualification or above in engineering (or a similar subject) are ineligible for Level 3 roles.
  • Baseline: good grades at A-level or equivalent are recommended for engineering routes (including maths and sciences, and design & technology/mechanics where available).
  • You may apply to a maximum of two roles per department.
