This action-packed, practical summer course at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is designed for aspiring young artists aged 12 615. Delivered in a festival-style format on campus, the five-day programme lets participants immerse themselves in fine art practice, explore a range of materials and techniques, and develop their creative voice.
Across five full days (09:00 16:00), students receive around six hours of teaching per day with breaks for snacks and lunch. Activities include drawing, painting, life drawing with a dressed model in the specialist studio, and working with charcoal, water- and oil-based paints, clay, plaster, wire and mixed media.
Each day finishes with a reflective group session to discuss work and progress, and friends and family are invited to a one-hour exhibition on the final Friday (16:00 17:00). The course fee (a3389) covers all materials and resources with no hidden costs.
Participants experience campus facilities and creative studio environments. To book, use AUB's secure online store (link on the course page) or contact the academy team at academy@aub. ac.
