EY Audit Apprenticeship Programme - September 2026 intake

The EY Audit Apprenticeship Programme is a four-year Level 7 apprenticeship in Accountancy and Taxation, starting September 2026 in Cambridge. The programme combines on-the-job audit experience across a portfolio of clients with study towards a professional qualification (ICAEW in England, ICAS in Scotland).

You will work as part of audit teams, travelling to client sites, working from EY offices and occasionally from home.

Day-to-day activities include analysing financial and non-financial data, testing business controls, developing audit strategy and learning to provide business advice. The programme emphasises the use of technology (including AI) alongside professional judgment, and includes in-person courses, self-study and exams as part of the qualification pathway.

Participants receive ongoing coaching from an Apprenticeship Coach and Career Counsellor and attend EY learning courses to build technical and professional skills. Salary is described as competitive. Note: the Level 7 apprenticeship is equivalent to a master's degree and the listed intake applies to individuals joining an office in England.
