Help turn a blank garden into a growing space, supporting people on the autism spectrum to grow plants and vegetables in an inclusive community setting. Bring practical gardening skills; tools and safety equipment are provided, with flexible volunteering times arranged directly.
Autism Networks is a community charity in Crewe that supports people of all ages on the autism spectrum, alongside their families. This volunteering role invites an enthusiastic gardener to help service users grow plants and vegetables in the charity’s garden space, which is currently a blank canvas and needs to be developed from scratch.
The role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on gardening and wants to make a positive difference in the local community. Volunteers will help create an engaging outdoor area where people can take part in growing food and plants in a supportive, inclusive environment.
This is a flexible opportunity, with volunteering times arranged directly with the provider to suit both sides. The charity says tools and safety equipment will be provided, and out-of-pocket expenses and support are available.
The role is based at Autism Networks Resource Centre in central Crewe, close to public transport and car parks.
4 April 2025 – 31 December 2026
