Offer companionship, listen and help with activities or everyday tasks as a flexible volunteer in your community. You can also share a skill or help organise events, with times agreed directly with the provider. Travel and out-of-pocket expenses are arranged.
This flexible volunteering role with Autism Networks is designed for people who want to make a positive difference in their community. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own talents and personality to the role, whether that means offering companionship, listening to people, helping with activities, or lending practical support with everyday tasks.
The opportunity centres on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for people who may benefit from extra connection and encouragement. You may help to organise or facilitate events and programmes, share a skill such as storytelling or crafting, or simply provide a friendly presence.
The role is informal and adaptable, with arrangements made directly with the provider to suit mutually convenient times. Travel and out of pocket expenses will be arranged, and applicants should have a friendly and approachable manner.
