Closes 15 February 2027Prize: Breakfast with the Early Careers Team, workplace tour, apprenticeship success workshop, and mock interview with personalised feedback

BAE Systems is looking for the next Future Apprentice of the Year in its Celebrating Emerging Engineering Talent award. The opportunity is aimed at students in UK schools, colleges and sixth forms who are in Year 12 or 13, or an equivalent stage, and who are interested in engineering.

It is designed for young people who enjoy technical problem-solving, thinking creatively and working with others.

Applicants are asked to register and complete the online application, including essay-style questions and online tests. BAE Systems says the winner will be someone who shows technical aptitude, good teamwork skills and the personal qualities needed to succeed in an engineering environment.

The award prize gives the winner a chance to connect with the employer and learn more about apprenticeship pathways. The package includes breakfast with the Early Careers team, a guided workplace tour, an apprenticeship success workshop and a mock interview with feedback to support future applications and interviews.
