BAE Systems Shared Services Work Experience Placement

Join BAE Systems Shared Services for a one-week work experience placement in Preston. The programme runs from 5 to 9 October 2026 and gives students the chance to learn about how Shared Services supports the wider BAE Systems business units and sites.

This is a non-engineering placement focused on professional service roles. Participants will explore career pathways such as Business, Project Management, Data Analysis, Cyber Security and Finance, as well as broader Shared Services routes including Business Administration, HR, Customer Operations and finance-related careers.

During the week, students will take part in interactive project activities, work with experienced colleagues and apprentices, and collaborate on a group presentation. The programme also includes icebreakers and team-building sessions designed to build confidence and connections.

It is aimed at students in Year 12 or 13 who want to discover early careers options in a professional services environment.
