This Bar Supervisor Apprentice role involves day-to-day duties supporting BCUSU's operations and upholding the organisation's values. Key responsibilities include demonstrating expected staff behaviours, promoting equal opportunities and the equity & diversity agenda, following University and BCUSU health & safety policies, maintaining administrative and financial systems, and communicating effectively with University staff, students and external stakeholders.
You will receive a mixture of on- and off-the-job training delivered through workshops, webinars and regular reviews. Apprentices receive face-to-face and skype/phone catch-ups every 4-6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress, and formal reviews every 12 weeks with a Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer.
The apprenticeship includes training support such as the opportunity to gain Functional Skills in English and maths if you do not already have GCSEs. Apprentices must complete mandatory training and other supervision or training sessions identified as beneficial to the role, and undertake other duties reasonably expected within the grade of the post.
