Join four free, discussion-led philosophy seminars with a University of Bristol tutor, online or in person. Test classical and modern ideas about happiness, purpose, relationships and the good life, from Aristotle to the ways technology and culture shape us.

A free philosophy seminar series for sixth form students, led by Calum Sims from the University of Bristol. The sessions are available online or in person at BRLSI, and use philosophy to explore what it means to live a flourishing life.

The programme draws on both classical and modern ideas, including Aristotle, to help students think about happiness, purpose, relationships and the good life.

Across the four weekly seminars, students consider how mind and body relate, how society and technology shape our lives, and how culture influences character. The course is designed to be discussion-led and reflective, giving participants space to test ideas, compare viewpoints and work towards their own understanding of what flourishing means.

It aims to leave students with practical ways of thinking about values, relationships and how to live well.
