Bath History Festival 2026

Bath History Festival 2026 is a full day of talks at BRLSI, bringing together historians, curators and researchers to explore themes from early English coronations and royal remains to the Chew Valley Treasure, Georgian spa society and the Macaronis. The programme is presented by Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, with support from the History of Bath Research Group and the Bath Branch of the Historical Association.

The event is designed for anyone interested in history and heritage, with a chance to hear from experts, discover current research, and share ideas with fellow enthusiasts over lunch. It also offers an opportunity to learn more about history organisations across Bath.

A light sandwich lunch, tea and coffee are included in the ticket price.

The festival features a series of talks throughout the day, and the programme is subject to change. Students and BRLSI members pay a reduced rate, with general admission also offered.
