Apply NowCurious how you can shape the future of AI? Join BCS Women’s one‑hour webinar with Elena Sinel to explore Teens in AI, hear hackathon winners, build skills and confidence, and connect with pathways into AI careers and study.
This one-hour online fireside chat, hosted by BCS Women, explores why it is important for teenagers to engage with artificial intelligence. Elena Sinel, founder of Teens in AI, will discuss the organisation's origins, its global programmes and how they build skills and confidence among young people-particularly girls and young women-so they can participate in and shape the AI landscape.
The session will include reflections from the winners of the 2025 Teens in AI Hackathon and a young professional currently completing an AI apprenticeship, bringing practical examples of pathways into AI. The conversation will cover both opportunities (career pathways, skills development) and challenges (deepfakes, facial recognition errors, opaque decision systems), emphasising digital literacy, ethics and responsible participation in technology.
Aimed at informing and inspiring attendees, the event is intended to showcase routes into AI for young people, highlight support mechanisms, and encourage greater participation of women in AI. The session is delivered online and runs for approximately one hour.
