Ben Creighton Griffiths Jazz Harp Workshop

Join jazz harpist Ben Creighton Griffiths for a lively workshop exploring the sound and style of Hot Club swing on the harp. The session is designed to introduce participants to the musical language of swing jazz in an accessible way, with a focus on creativity and practical playing rather than formal jazz experience.

During the workshop, students will explore key aspects of improvisation, rhythm, and harmony, while learning how these ideas work in a classic jazz style. The workshop is open to both lever and pedal harp players, and it welcomes musicians of all abilities.

Previous jazz or improvisation experience is not required, although it may be helpful, and anyone playing a different instrument is encouraged to get in touch with the organisers. Workshop ticket holders also receive entry to the evening concert at the Town Hall.
