Join Andy Dunbar Joinery as a Level 2 Bench Hand Joinery Apprentice and learn to produce high-quality timber components in a busy workshop environment. This role combines hands-on work-selecting materials, measuring, cutting, operating woodworking machinery, finishing and assembling products-with workshop responsibilities such as tool maintenance, quality inspection and keeping the workspace organised.

You will be employed in the employer's workshop in Middlesbrough (1 Tyne Court, Skippers Lane Industrial Estate, TS6 6DT) on a 39-hour week schedule and undertake formal training with Darlington Borough Council Learning & Skills. Training covers the Level 2 Wood Product Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship Standard and is delivered as a blend of remote learning and scheduled classroom sessions; you will need to travel to the training centre in Darlington when required.

The apprenticeship runs for two years, starts on 1 December 2025, and may lead to full-time employment or further training on successful completion.

You'll Earn

£15,311 per year

Pay & Benefits

£15,311.40 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
