Spend up to a week shadowing healthcare services and see how teams diagnose and treat health problems. Explore the roles across the Trust and learn how its services make a difference to patients and service users.

Workplace shadowing and work experience at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are designed to help young people explore careers in healthcare. They offer a chance to see how different services operate and to learn more about the kinds of roles available across the Trust.

Placements are unpaid and usually last up to one week. They give an insight into the services the Trust provides, the health problems its teams diagnose and treat, and the difference those services make to patients and service users.

To apply, interested students should get in touch with the team to discuss what opportunities are available. Once a suitable date has been agreed, the Trust sends an application form and carries out pre-placement checks.

Not every service is suitable for shadowing or work experience, so availability depends on the placement requested.
