Oxford Architecture & Design (2026) is a residential two-week summer school for 16-18 year olds delivered on the campuses of the University of Oxford. The programme introduces core principles of architecture and urban planning, including planning, design, spatial mapping, technical drawing and digital model construction.
Classes are small (maximum 15 students) and taught by experienced educators and guest speakers; students complete group-based design projects and an in-course portfolio competition.
Students stay in historic Oxford colleges (examples listed include Balliol, St Catherine's, The Queen's, Keble, St Hugh's and St Peter's), with accommodation, meals, tuition and cultural programmes included in the fee. The programme includes site visits and an inspirational cultural programme with excursions to local historic venues.
On completion participants receive a graduation certificate and a detailed report card. Arrival day for programmes is typically Sunday; arrival support and UK/US transfer services (LHR pickup on set dates) are offered for an additional fee.
