Biotechnology and Genetics for Teens is an immersive two-week summer school run through BestParents at Cambridge University designed for bright students aged 13-15. The course introduces participants to core topics in genetics, cell biology and biotechnology through small-group teaching (maximum of 8 students), hands-on activities, collaborative projects and guided independent research.
Students take part in interactive lessons, masterclasses and 21st Century Skills sessions, complemented by excursions and enrichment workshops. The programme offers both day (non-residential) and boarding options with full-board meals for residential students, on-course pastoral support, and scheduled Heathrow airport transfers on official transfer days.
All participants receive a certificate of achievement, written tutor feedback and a personalised Letter of Recommendation. The course aims to build scientific knowledge, critical thinking and teamwork while providing a safe, university-style experience in Cambridge.
