Mow, plant, weed and prune at hospice gardens in Selly Park or Erdington, helping create calm, welcoming spaces for patients, visitors and colleagues.

Birmingham Hospice is looking for volunteer gardeners to help maintain the grounds at its Selly Park and Erdington sites. The role is flexible and is designed for people who enjoy being outdoors and want to help create calm, welcoming spaces for patients, visitors and colleagues.

Volunteers will support the Facilities Team with a range of gardening tasks throughout the year, including mowing and seeding lawns, planting and weeding, pruning, general tidying, and seasonal jobs such as clearing leaves and preparing beds for colder weather. No qualifications are needed, and the team will support volunteers as they build confidence and skills in the role.
