The BMSAQ Senior Challenge is a school-based academic quiz for individual pupils, with 100 multiple-choice questions divided across five sections. Pupils work independently under teacher supervision, and each school enters pupils through an organiser account rather than as a team.
The challenge is designed as a broad academic benchmark for older pupils. It covers topics across Our World & Lifestyle, Science & Nature, History & Politics, Culture and General Knowledge. Schools can use online or printed paper formats where supported, and pupils complete the same Challenge in whichever format their school uses.
The sitting normally lasts 30 minutes. Results are released privately to the school, and schools can share individual outcomes with pupils. Certificates and awards may be available where applicable, and there is no public results list.
