Help run a local youth club by signing members in and out, joining activities and making sure quieter young people feel included. You’ll get safeguarding training, and an Enhanced DBS can be provided.
Bollington Youth Group is looking for volunteer support workers to help run its youth club for local young people. The group supports children and teenagers aged 8 to 11 and 11 to 15, offering a safe, welcoming environment where they can enjoy activities, build confidence and spend time with others in a positive setting.
Volunteers support the Senior Youth Leader with the day-to-day running of the club. Typical tasks include running the tuck shop, signing members in and out, joining in with activities, helping keep the atmosphere fun and safe, calming lively sessions when needed, and engaging with quieter young people so that everyone feels included.
The role is flexible and no two sessions are the same. Volunteers receive safeguarding training, and an Enhanced DBS can be provided. The opportunity is aimed at people who are friendly, approachable and confident in communicating with young people, and it offers a chance to gain experience, develop skills and contribute to a growing community initiative.
Free to take part.
