Join a five-day Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra work experience to explore arts management, build practical admin skills, connect with industry pros and boost your uni/career plans-perfect if you're considering performance, teaching or creative roles.
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra offers a five-day work experience placement giving students the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the inner workings of a professional orchestra and arts charity. Placements focus on arts management and administration and are designed for young people considering careers in performance, teaching, arts administration or other creative roles.
Although an interest in music is desirable, applications are welcomed from students involved in a wide range of creative media, including performing arts, dance, visual arts and craft, filmmaking, photography and digital media. Participants will observe and assist with behind-the-scenes activity and day-to-day administrative tasks within the organisation.
Applications are not yet live; interested students can join the waitlist on the BSO webpage and will be contacted when the online application opens (stated to be in February). There will be an interview process and only a limited number of applicants will be selected for the May placement.
