Bow Seat Creative Action for Conservation
Apply NowWant to turn art into action for oceans and climate? Apply for the Bow Seat True Blue Fellowship to get up to $2,500, mentorship, capacity-building and a network of peers—build skills, deliver a youth-led creative project and make local impact.
The Bow Seat True Blue Fellowship awards funding, mentorship, and capacity-building to youth-led creative projects that address ocean, waterways, and climate change issues in local communities. Selected Fellows receive mentoring from the Future Blue Youth Council and Bow Seat staff, access to a community of other Fellows, capacity-building programs, and funding of up to $2,500 USD to support project delivery.
Projects must use the creative arts as the primary method for awareness and/or action and demonstrate tangible community impact. The program is open worldwide to youth ages 13-24 (at the start of the Fellowship period in January), and applications must be submitted in English.
Individuals, classes, groups, clubs, and organizations may apply; projects should be new or emerging (no older than two years). Fellows are expected to participate in virtual orientation and regular cohort meetings, submit periodic reports (including mid-year and end-of-year reports), and work closely with assigned mentors.
Under-18 Fellows require parent/guardian signatures on eligibility and publicity release forms. All applicants have access to fellowship resources regardless of selection to improve grant writing, project management, and fundraising skills.
Selected Fellows will be notified by email and must complete verification paperwork within five business days of attempted notification. For full application details and to apply, visit the Bow Seat True Blue Fellowship application page on the Bow Seat website.
