Bring an unwanted item of clothing and turn it into something you’ll want to wear again, while learning practical sewing skills. Led by Alison Brophy, this beginner-friendly session lets you customise, alter and embellish your garment - no experience needed.
Bring along an unwanted item of clothing and turn it into something you’ll want to wear again. This teen workshop focuses on creative upcycling, giving participants the chance to refresh their wardrobe while learning practical sewing skills they can use again in future.
Led by Alison Brophy of Bradford Museums & Galleries, the session supports young people as they customise, alter and embellish a garment to create a more personal look. It is designed as a hands-on, beginner-friendly activity, with no previous sewing experience needed.
The workshop forms part of a three-part teen upcycling series at Bradford Industrial Museum. Participants can book this session on its own or attend the full programme, and they should bring an item of clothing they would like to redesign or repurpose.
