Brentwood School runs the Brentwood International Music Competition, a prestigious international contest for exceptional young concert musicians. The competition offers performers the chance to gain global recognition, receive expert feedback from distinguished adjudicators, and compete for significant prizes including a Head’s Award (a full boarding bursary to Brentwood School) and cash prizes for the top placings.
The competition is open to musicians aged 13-017 (Year 9, 10, 11 and Lower Sixth Form) across Strings, Piano, Winds & Brass, Percussion and Classical Voice. Rounds comprise an online preliminary stage followed by a live in-person final.
Applicants are expected to be of outstanding standard (Grade 8+) and to be seriously considering a professional career in music. All finalists are offered a place on Brentwood's Specialist Music Programme.
How to enter: applicants should complete the online application form (link provided on the competition page) and submit any required recordings and supporting materials. The application deadline is 5 January 2026 and the live Grand Final will take place on 27 February 2026.
