Brentwood School International Music Competition

Brentwood School’s International Music Competition is an annual competition for young classical musicians who are aiming for professional careers. It gives talented performers a platform to showcase their skills, receive direct feedback, and compete for substantial awards linked to further musical development and education.

The competition uses a two-stage selection process. Applicants first submit materials online, and shortlisted musicians are then invited to a live final at Brentwood School’s Memorial Hall. The final includes feedback from world-renowned adjudicators, making the event both a performance opportunity and a learning experience for participants.

The top prize is especially significant: the Grand Prize offers a place at Brentwood School with means-tested funding of up to full support. Other awards may include scholarships, bursaries, masterclasses and monetary prizes.

Finalists who later join the School are also guaranteed a place on its Specialist Music Programme, giving successful musicians access to further specialist support within the school community.
