Bridgend College Summer School

Bridgend College Summer School offers two summer activity options for young people aged 13 to 16 at the Pencoed campus. The Summer Rugby Camp is an action-packed programme focused on skill development, team work and confidence-building.

Participants can expect coaching, performance analysis using drone footage, healthy eating and cooking sessions, first aid training, and opportunities to learn from a guest speaker. The Animal Care and Conservation Camp is designed for teenagers who are interested in wildlife, animal welfare and outdoor skills.

Activities include campus tours, animal encounters, habitat management, biodiversity tracking, bushcraft, survival tasks, and rural first aid. It is a hands-on programme that aims to build practical experience and confidence in the outdoors.

Across both camps, Bridgend College provides a supportive environment with flexible booking options, complimentary refreshments, and a strong emphasis on personal growth. Participants need to bring their own packed lunch and water bottle, and the animal care camp has specific clothing and footwear requirements for safety.
