Spend a week in a commercial law firm, meeting people across the business and seeing how legal teams support clients and communities. Take on an interactive group project and team challenge, building your communication, problem-solving and presentation skills.

Closes 5 January 2027

Spend a week in one of Burges Salmon’s offices and get a first-hand look at life in a commercial law firm. Bright Sparks is designed for school and college students who want to explore careers in law and professional services, meet people from across the firm, and understand how legal teams make a difference for clients, communities and the wider world.

Across the programme, you’ll take part in an interactive group project and team challenge, building skills in communication, problem-solving and presentation. You’ll also develop your commercial awareness, learn how different teams work together, and gain practical insight into a professional environment.

By the end, you should leave with new confidence, a stronger CV and a better sense of the career paths open to you.
