Ready to nail drama school auditions? Join a five-day intensive at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to build contrasting monologues, master in-person and screen auditions, and create pro self-tapes with feedback from industry tutors.

An intensive five-day Auditions Bootcamp run by Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for aspiring performers aged 17 6-21. The course focuses on preparing participants for drama school auditions and professional casting, covering in-person theatre auditions, in-person screen auditions and self-tape technique.

Sessions are led by industry professionals and school tutors and combine practical work with individual feedback.

Participants will learn how to prepare and perform contrasting monologues, develop techniques for working on camera (including eyelines and truthful film performance), and create effective self-tapes including setup and framing. The course emphasises building confidence, professional etiquette, adaptability in different audition contexts and strategies for first impressions through to final recall.

Logistics: the course runs Summer 2026 from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th August, daily 10:00 6:00 at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, 1-2 Downside Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2XF. The course is open to all experience levels.

Participants should bring two contrasting monologues, movement clothing and closed-toe shoes, a notebook and packed lunch (no catering on site).
