Clean donated electricals, check their safety and pricing labels, and create displays in a busy charity shop. You’ll also help customers, spot unusual items for online selling and receive full training, with travel expenses reimbursed.

This volunteering role is based in the electrical department at British Heart Foundation’s Crewe Homestore. Volunteers help organise and display electrical items, make sure safety and pricing labels are correct, and talk to customers on the shop floor.

The role supports the charity’s retail work, helping to raise money for lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases.

It is a friendly, flexible opportunity for people who can spare a few hours each week or occasionally. Full training is provided, so no specific skills are needed, although attention to detail is important.

Typical tasks include cleaning donated electrical items, replenishing the sales floor from the warehouse, spotting unusual items for online selling, creating attractive displays and answering customer queries. This is an unpaid voluntary position, and the charity offers a range of benefits including discounts, travel expense reimbursement, refreshments, training and volunteer certificates.
