Buckinghamshire New University offers a travel voucher scheme for students who attend its Applicant Visit Day. Eligible students can claim back travel costs in the form of Amazon vouchers, with support available up to £50 depending on the cost incurred.
The scheme is designed to help reduce the cost of travelling to the visit day and is only available after attendance has been recorded by the university. Students must complete a travel voucher claim form and submit it with a full VAT itemised receipt showing the travel date.
Claims must be sent within 14 days of attending the Applicant Visit Day. The scheme covers a range of travel methods, including petrol/mileage, train, ferry, coach or bus, and plane. The university does not process claims for accommodation or subsistence.
Parking can also be reimbursed up to £5 for either the Eden Shopping Centre car park or the Swan car park. Vouchers are sent by email, and mileage claims are calculated at 15p per mile, subject to the maximum voucher value.
