Bucksmore's Young Professionals Architecture summer camp in Oxford is a two-week, in-person programme that introduces secondary-school students to architecture through design projects, technical workshops and guided site visits in Oxford and London. Students study architectural history, design methods, sketching, modelling and site analysis while developing English language fluency in an academic context.
The course includes a Capstone Industry project delivered with Class of Your Own, and students complete a personal design project to add to their portfolio. The programme is residential at d'Overbroeck's (Oxford) with small class sizes (around 12 students), 25 hours of tuition per week, and 2 full-day plus 1 half-day excursions each week (examples: Design Museum London, Thames River cruise, Christ Church College).
Upon completion students receive a personalised report card, capstone certification and Bucksmore certification. Airport transfers (conditions apply), accommodation, meals and most activity costs are included; flights and visa costs are excluded.
