Building Better Minds is a two-hour in-person session exploring mental health and wellbeing within the built-environment sector. Held at Optimum Padel, Leeds, the event brings together industry professionals, apprentices, and students to discuss workplace pressures, stigma around speaking up, and practical support pathways.
Attendees will hear lived-experience talks and practical insight from special guests from the Talk Your Walk Foundation and industry speakers including former professional athletes Quentin Laulu-Togaga'e and Suaia Matagi. The programme includes short talks, a 'Classroom to Careers' panel, a haka demonstration, networking and a tour of the new Optimum Padel facility, with opportunities to learn tools for fostering wellbeing in teams and careers across construction.
