Join the BBC in Salford as a Business Analyst with AI (Level 4) apprentice on a fixed-term, full-time 18-month contract. Based at Quay House, Salford (M50 2QH), the role pays £22,950 and combines on-the-job work with formal study.
You'll be employed by the BBC and study one day a week towards the L4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship with Corndel in partnership with Imperial College London.
In this role you'll learn to gather business requirements, support business process improvements, develop AI-enabled business transformation solutions within an ethical framework, and deliver data-driven projects. Core learning areas include ethical AI decision making, stakeholder engagement, solution assessment, business case development, project management and strategic AI implementation.
You'll work as part of the audience services/Technology & Media Operations team and receive training, mentoring and access to BBC apprenticeship development days.
To be eligible you must be 18+ by September 2026, have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years, be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK, not be enrolled on another apprenticeship, and not already hold the same-or-higher qualification in this subject. You must hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths at Grade 4/C or above.

- Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026.
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
- Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship.
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme, whether with the BBC or another organisation.
- Not have completed or hold qualifications in the apprenticeship subject at the same or higher level.
- Have maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or equivalent qualification.
- This scheme is aimed at non-graduates; applicants with a degree are advised to consider other BBC apprenticeship or job routes.
- You will need to live within a commutable distance of the Salford role location.
£22,950 per year
£22,950 per year. As an Apprentice you will also receive an industry recognised qualification, industry-leading training, a bespoke BBC apprenticeship experience, and access to BBC benefits (35-hour week, annual leave, pension and other benefits).
