Bucksmore Education's Business Management Summer Course is a pre-university, on-campus programme held at St Catharine's College, University of Cambridge. Designed for 15-17 year olds, the course teaches Business Management at an introductory first-year undergraduate level and aims to prepare ambitious students for higher education.
Teaching is delivered in small international groups with experienced tutors and includes subject tutorials, masterclasses and guest lectures. Course activities combine classroom learning with practical workshops and projects covering business operations, strategy, financial management, marketing, people management and global business.
Students participate in case studies, business simulations, marketing and HR workshops, and weekly excursions (two full-day and one half-day per week). The programme also offers university preparation masterclasses, small-group tutorials and a formal graduation with certificates.
Practical arrangements include on-site single-sex accommodation at St Catharine's College, 24-hour campus security, complimentary airport transfers (conditions apply), three meals per day and full insurance. The course runs as a two-week programme (23 tuition hours per week).
Applicants complete an online application and pay a £500 reservation fee to secure a place; full price is advertised per week on the Bucksmore website.
