Curious how spaces shape lives? Join a two-week residential summer school at Cambridge to learn design, model-making and urban planning with expert tutors. Build your portfolio, present a final project and connect with peers and academics.

The Cambridge Architecture & Design Summer School (ages 16-18) offers an immersive two-week residential programme at the University of Cambridge (Clare College). Students study core principles of architecture - planning, design and spatial mapping - through expert-led lessons, workshops and site-based case studies.

The programme combines manual and digital model construction, architectural drawing, portfolio development and a final urban planning project where students present their work.

Students take part in structured timetabled sessions (morning and afternoon workshops), full-day excursions, and evening activities. The course includes a graduation ceremony with certificates and report cards, supervised on-campus residential accommodation, meals and cultural excursions.

Tutors include university researchers and industry practitioners, and guest speakers from previous summers have included senior creative and scientific figures.

Practical arrangements include supervised airport transfers (optional paid transfers from Heathrow), regular check-ins and campus curfew procedures. Applicants are invited to apply via the provider; applicants should follow the booking/enrolment process outlined on the course page to secure a place.
