Cambridge Biology: Pre-College Program (2026) is a two-week intensive summer school for 16 38 year olds held at the University of Cambridge. The programme offers approximately 30 hours of biology tutorials and workshops taught in small groups (average 7, max 12) by academics from Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard.
Students study advanced, university-style modules (macromolecules, cell theory, bioinformatics, advances in biological research), complete a personal research project (presentation or essay) and receive 1:1 academic tutorials with written feedback.
Programme logistics include day and boarding options in historic Cambridge colleges (single bedrooms with shared bathrooms; limited ensuite for additional needs), breakfast and dinner daily, two Formal Hall dinners, mentor-led social activities and excursions (Oxford day trip, optional London visit). Transport transfers from Heathrow are available (A3180 each way).
A graduation ceremony and certificate are awarded on completion. Sessions run across July and August 2026; prices shown on the site are per 2-week session (Day A35,995; Boarding A37,495).
