Cambridge Economics for High Schoolers is a two-week pre-college summer programme run by Best Parents on the University of Cambridge campus for high-school students aged 16 618. The course uses a curriculum developed and delivered by tutors from world-class universities (including Cambridge, Oxford and Harvard) and combines lectures, seminars and hands-on projects to introduce modern economic theory and applied topics such as trade, fiscal policy and development economics.
Participants receive around 30 hours of academic tuition, small-group teaching (average class size 7, maximum 12), 1:1 career coaching, and complete a capstone project presented at a mini-conference. Sample modules include introductory econometrics, development economics, auction theory and a project presentation workshop.
The programme also runs academic skills workshops to prepare students for independent university-level study and improve presentation, argumentation and critical-thinking skills.
The in-person on-campus experience includes college accommodation (13 nights for boarding), breakfast and dinner, supervised social activities and excursions (Oxford day trip and optional London day trip), two formal college dinners, study materials, insurance and a detailed tutor evaluation. Optional shared Heathrow transfer is available for A3180 each way.
